No, Draco's not here. I sort of assumed he was somewhere in Slytherin, nursing his hangover.

I did see Teddy. He was lurking near the Potions classroom, looking pleased with himself.

I don't know if any of this is important or not, but with Teddy we can't be too careful.

Daphne wrote to Harry and me because Teddy was gloating to her about how the "truth about Draco" was going to come out, and she knows that Draco has some kind of secret, and she's concerned that Teddy is going to reveal it - to hurt his standing in the challenge, I suppose.

But I don't know if Teddy was just trying to wind Daphne up or not. He's been doing that to her lately, so it's a possibility. But Draco does have secrets, far bigger than Daphne could imagine. I don't think there's any way for Teddy to know any of them... but I need to find him and legilimise him, just to be sure.

No, I've not seen her. Which is why it's so important I find Teddy, first. This might be nothing, just another of his games. Or it might not be.

You know that Draco is in love with Hermione. I think you and I are the only ones who know that.

Could Teddy have found out? I can't think of any way he would have, but that doesn't mean he didn't.

Teddy might have hurt Hermione in front of Draco, and Draco could have given himself away in his response.

Or they might have been just a little bit careless in the wrong place at the wrong time, and Teddy overheard them talking like mates.

Or maybe Hermione decided to give it a try with Draco and they snogged and Teddy caught them at it.

I went up to the secret room and checked. It's empty.

Yes, any of those things might've happened, as well as others we've surely not thought of.

Teddy's been leaving me alone. I was relieved, but now I wonder if he didn't want me to read him. And his taunting Daphne about her relationship with Draco... he might've done because he found out about Hermione.

The last time I read him he was thinking about cutting Hermione apart so that he could get to the truth about how she works. And now he's told Daphne that everyone will know the "truth" about Draco.

Okay. Right. Why am I trying to imagine what could be happening when I could just find Teddy.

Neither of them have answered, have they?

What do we tell everyone?

To quit looking for Ron for now, and look for Draco, Hermione, and Teddy, instead.
