I knew there was no way in or out of MLE and I knew that there was no time, no way to contact anyone.
The plan was to kill him, and then myself, to minimise exposure.
But that wasn't what he wanted, and I could only honour the wishes of the one who was right in front of me.

Is Neville still at MLE? Or has he been taken elsewhere, and if he has, do you know where?

Rachel, you said that there have been cases like this before. What happens to the victims afterward? What does MLE do with them?

Yeah, lots. Afterward -- sometimes they kill them. Sometimes the victims are sent to Azkaban, though when that happens, they never live long because no one's seeing to it that they eat. Most often they go to the Vale of Health. The Vale is run by Healers, not by MLE, and ordinarily breaking someone out of there wouldn't be terribly difficult. In Neville's case, I would be surprised if Bellatrix didn't try to use him as bait to trap his parents, though. Wherever they send him, or wherever they put it about that they've sent him, assume it's extremely well guarded.

Let's hope they don't get that bright idea too soon. Remus and Snape are talking as fast as they can, but the thing is, if they sent up that signal tonight, Alice and Frank might actually bite.

Hydra's at Spencer House. Daphne and Justin are both here.

Bellatrix cruciated Hydra for her mistake so badly she had a seizure. At least one. I'm not sure. Her right hand (not her wand hand) was still clenched in a fist and she couldn't un-clench it and her right foot was -- well you can't put a foot into a fist but it was all clenched up.

Since this used to be Rabastan Lestrange's house and Dolohov called Snape's palliative something that was a secret of the Council I thought maybe there'd be some about, and I found it, several doses, in a medicine cabinet in the master bathroom. Justin and I had to talk Hydra into taking it because I guess Auror Crouch doesn't approve of palliative potions but she did in the end. And, I used the releasing charm to get her hand and foot to relax a bit.

I'm wondering if I should give her another dose or if more won't do any more than one would.

Apparently Bellatrix said she'd teach her where the line was. The one she crossed, with Neville. By demonstrating.

If it is the potion I developed, it will not harm her to take more of it than a single phial; it was designed to be helpful if one could only swallow a bit, but not harmful if one's friends tipped a gallon of it down one's throat. If she is doing as poorly as you say, at least two doses would be best for her.

I'm not going to ask if you're alright, and I'm not going to tell you it will be alright.

This is the worst thing that's ever happened to you. This is (well, probably - though who knows, with your parents) the most helpless, terrified, and small that you have ever felt. All you thought you could withstand, all the tests you've gone through, none of it prepared you for this horrible weight (actually, you're the most prepared out of any of us).

If I were with you, I'd be able to feel it. I'd take some of it away, if I could, if it would help. I'm not the only one who would do that for you, either.

I know you'll be alright, Hydra. You were ready for this - are ready.
