I saw Draco in the prefect's car this morning, but he was busy with Daphne so we couldn't speak. Not that we could have really talked about what happened while riding the train, anyway, but I have no idea what's happened and I'm sure others are confused, as well. I only saw him say that he's quitting, and all his reasons why, and then there were a load of private messages between people.

It was thoughtless of Ron and the others not to tell anyone what they were doing, or what their challenge was to begin with. I didn't even know what Ron and Pansy's challenges were, I only knew that Draco and I hadn't received any. I told that to somebody when we were at Tea appreciation, only I don't remember who.

I can see why Draco was cross, but I was surprised that he decided to quit. He isn't quitting, is he?

Does anyone know if Ginny still has her copy of Pure Victory?

Aunt Narcissa just wrote to tell me it's to be banned. She thought I had a copy already but I never got one. I mean, I was supposed to get a copy, according to her.

But I didn't.

If she has hers, maybe we could pretend that we'd destroyed it and really keep it?

I'd very much like to read it, especially to know why it was banned.

Hallo,

So - perhaps now you might tell me more about what you and Ron got up to today? I enjoy watching the impromptu quidditch matches, but it doesn't leave enough time for talking, or other things. Also, I end up with a sore bum from sitting for so long.

Daddy's just left me in my room for the night. He brought up hot cocoa and biccies and spoke to me as if I were still eight or nine. The biccies were nice, at least. Oh, and he asked about you, but I made him stop. I hope.

From,
Hydra

Hi.

I've been listening to people whisper about Pansy and Sally Anne and Ron and Neville and Luna all day. I'm trying to figure out why it matters. They go to school here too, so why should it matter if Pansy's friends with all of them? It shouldn't matter, of course.

I don't think people would care, if they didn't notice, but Pansy makes sure that they do. When she wrote after the Dogstar arrests, it seemed like a little bit of a challenge to the people who were giving Neville and Ron dodgy looks. Neville because of his parents, and Ron - well, because of his parents, too. You probably know by now that some people think they're took soft for purebloods. And by writing what she wrote, it was almost as if she said "I'd rather be with them than any of you." Even if she didn't say that at all, it's clear now that people took it that way.

I understand how she feels, but...

I don't know if I could do that. Say something so bold and so public. It's just not the way that I am.

Do you hate me for it?
