Do either of you have any information on Draco's condition? Sally Anne said he was injured last night, but she never said how badly.

Though I suppose if he was hanging on to life by a thread someone would have said as much, by now.

But if you need a hand with him I might be able to manage a short visit tomorrow. Mummy's been far too busy to notice what I'm up to.

He's improving but it's not good. I'm making this private from Sarah because she's something of a watering pot over it all, which isn't very helpful.

One leg was completely crushed. We had to enhance the normal Skele-Gro with something Mr Snape had me prepare, and now the bones seem to be setting more properly. I don't know, though, I don't think we'll be able to tell for some time if he'll always have a limp or not. We'll see once he's able to walk, I guess.

Because the other problem was that he was concussed by a bit of stone. And he hasn't woken up yet, and Madam Pomfrey says that the longer he doesn't wake up, the more grave it is.

So I'm hoping he wakes up really, really soon.

Oh, that's worse than I expected.

Raz had a limp and it never slowed him down much, so there's that. Draco would really have a hard time being anything less than physically perfect, though, so I hope everything mends well.

But I hope more than he wakes up soon.

You know, on boxing day the way Sarah was watching Draco caught my attention and I - yes, it's not very nice, but I briefly probed her thoughts. She's still very enchanted by her memory of Draco helping her to escape Hogwarts, particularly how he announced her 'death' at the hand of centaurs to Madam Umbridge. I was left with the impression that she feels that she was somehow responsible for Draco's change of heart, since he joined the ISS right around then.

That's...rather awkward. About Sarah, I mean. Sometimes I think they're not as happy as they'd like to make people think, but then, I hope I'm wrong because I hate to think that he's still not happy with anyone else but me.

Oh, and speaking of that sort of thing.... Harry says Justin was upset because he didn't get to fight Bellatrix, but that now he's 'come round.' Was he? Upset, I mean. Because that's a rather daft thing to be upset about.

I think he is happy, actually. Well, as much as someone like Draco can be happy. He really wants to make it work, anyway, I did get that much, but maybe it's because he wants to prove something. I'm not sure.

Yes, Justin was in quite a foul mood. He did calm down, eventually.

He has this notion - he always has, I think - that he might be able to impress my parents, one day. Impress everyone. I keep telling him that the approval of my parents or anyone like them isn't worth much, and I know he agrees, but he also feels compelled, just the same.
