This is probably a peculiar question. Have you ever spoken (or written) to Nymphadora Tonks before? Only now she's called Nymphadora Ponds. She's my cousin.

I feel like you've talked with her before on the journals, but I can't remember for certain.

Yes, I talked to her a bit first year because she's a half-blood who had just finished school, you see.

And more recently I sent her congratulations when she had her baby. I haven't ever met her in person, though, only on the journals.

I haven't met her in person that many times, either. But she can change her hair colour. She can even make it pink.



I have something important to tell her, and I don't know what to do. I don't know if an owl is a good idea or not. I can't have Mummy find out, and I was just remembering how I once had you pass along a message to Luna Lovegood.

Do you remember? She was things about Sirius Black and Mummy was getting so angry, and I thought something bad might happen to Lovegood, but I didn't think I could tell her myself, not even in a private message.

It might be. I really don't know. I don't know much of anything, that's the trouble. She just tells me what to do and I have to do it.

You don't have to if you don't want to. I could figure something else out. Only I know you don't really like to see people get into trouble if you can help it, and I'm the same way.

And I know you don't like seeing people get in trouble. You're one of the kindest people I know. It's one of the reasons I like you so much.

Right, that's what I thought.

I think my cousin is clever. All you would probably have to tell her is that I told you to pass along that my mother is investigating her for something.

I don't have any details, though. Mummy asked me to write to Dora and be friendly, but she wouldn't say why. But I know she doesn't want us to be friends, she never has, so I thought it was strange, but since I have always wanted to talk to my cousin, I wrote to her like Mummy asked.

But then Daddy was really cross when he found out. He said she was using me to further her investigation.

Just so you know, Mrs Ponds said she quite enjoyed hearing from you and hopes you'll write to her again sometime.

And she doesn't think your mum will find out anything interesting if she investigates her, but she'll be careful all the same.
