I don't think I thought about it much, at the time. I mean, I didn't comprehend what that actually meant. I think I imagined him trying to hold her hand and kiss her cheek as if she were his girlfriend, and I was mostly perplexed as to why a Slytherin would want to hold hands with a mudblood because surely his family would be appalled.

But obviously that wasn't it if his bits were kept in a jar.
