Well, at least I see some improvement from a few years ago, when you regularly turned down tomatoes and beets. But then we used to get meat into you if it was tucked into a pie, and now it seems you won't even eat it at all.

What are those words you've crossed out? Something to do with sweet foods? Crossing them out suggests that you're letting the compulsion affect even your thoughts about sweets. See if you can overcome that, Duckie.

Funny thing, that. When you stop eating so many sugary foods, your palate starts to notice the natural sweetness in something like a tomato or a beet.

If you really don't want to eat meat, you'll have to be sure to eat plenty of eggs and beans, and lots of veg, too. Otherwise, you'll be living on nothing but bread and potato. That's what they feed the muggles in the camps, you know, when they are able to spare them any non-transfigured foods. It's something to subsist on, but it's not something to grow on.

As for eating the biscuit, remember that the chewing is what's actually bad for your teeth, so you've already got past the worst part. Swallowing it down will come in time.

Duckie, I should tell you that your Mummy has decided she wants a nice dinner at home tonight. She hasn't had a decent meal in weeks, so we'll be having her favourite.

You'll have to get creative, Duckie.

In better news, the healers sent word this morning that your Uncle is starting to have moments of consciousness, which means that the curse has almost run its course. Hopefully, he'll be back to his old self soon enough.

As soon as he feels up to it.

Now, it's coming on lunch time. Are you alright on your own, or shall I come up?

No, she goes home to her parents. Or perhaps to her boyfriend. And you can simply call her Miss Sandoval, as she's no longer Head Girl.

I confess I do find her scary, but likely for entirely different reasons than your classmates.

Now Ducks, go have a grand time in the garden and I'll check in with you before supper, alright?
